Hi, welcome. It’s Suzy.

I’m a best-selling author, CEO advisor, a CEO myself, an op-ed writer for the Wall Street Journal, a Today Show denizen, and most importantly of all, to me at least, a Professor of Management Practice at NYU Stern School of Business, where I am also the Director of the NYU Stern Initiative on Purpose and Flourishing. My main area of expertise is helping individuals discover and pursue the authentic lives they were born to lead. However, it kind of needs to be said that no one can really be an “expert” in this, but I am trying.

One of my classes at Stern is about how to be a leader who is beloved by your team and your own boss; it’s called “Developing Managerial Skills.” I love teaching it. My other class is called, “Becoming You: Crafting the Authentic Life You Want and Need,” and it’s about, as noted above, discovering the answer to the age-old, often-elusive question, “What should I do with my life?”

The methodology we use in Becoming You is not a silver bullet, but it certainly gives clarity, and even transforms lives. I know because I’ve seen it, and it is such a beautiful thing that it has become my purpose. Very meta, but there you go. A book about Becoming You will be published by HarperBusiness in May 2025, but if you’d like to know more about The Becoming You methodology before then, please sign up for one of my free webinars, or listen to my new podcast. Or make my 95-year-old mother very happy and do both!

Purpose and authenticity are also very much the themes of my first book, 10-10-10: A Life-Transforming Idea, which offers a tool for making values-driven decisions. 10-10-10 was first published in O: The Oprah Magazine, and is now taught at colleges and universities around the world. Not to be cringey, but this makes me incredibly proud. A new and revised version of 10-10-10 is in the works; stand by.

Finally, should anyone be curious, I have four grown kids, two fabulous DILs, and a grand-daughter who is very cute. Also: a genius. Don’t ask about her unless you have a few hours to spare. I lost my beloved husband, Jack, in 2020. I live in New York and have three ridiculous dogs. Please look at their picture to the right.

Again, welcome.
